Our team

Michelle | Co-Founder, Chief Editor & Podcast Host
I’m Michelle, and I’m the Co-Founder and Chief Editor of Ramp it Up. As a gay, disabled and neurodiverse creator, I’m passionate about building safe spaces, raising awareness of disability, and building platforms to give disabled people a voice.
Beyond the editorial desk, I love going on adventures, anything space related, and I enjoy designing products for those around me. Whether I’m at an accessible design event, or I’m staying in a caravan at a holiday park, my mission is to put accessibility at the forefront of everyone’s minds.
You can see what I’m working on and where I’ve been on my adventures on my Instagram @rollwithshelly.

Emily-May | Co-Founder, Deputy Editor & Training Lead
Hello, My name is Emily-May, and I’m Co-Founder, Deputy Editor and Training Lead for Ramp It Up. My background and experience is in Disability Advocacy and casework. I strive to improve independence and a sense of empowerment wherever possible for people within the Deaf, Disabled and Neurodivergent communities.
As someone with multiple disabilities and ADHD, I am particularly passionate about raising awareness of the challenges and obstacles that I, along with many others with ‘invisible’ disabilities, face daily.
In my own time I enjoy cosy gaming, reading, board games and escape rooms.

Laura | Podcast Host
I’m Laura, and I’m a podcast host on Ramp it Up. My focus is amplifying the perspective of the childfree, disabled, and neurodiverse.
I have an Instagram page called @fainting_into_books where I share a range of book recommendations. I also share a look into my life as a disabled author and reader. Writing is another avenue I use to highlight the childfree and disabled perspective. I write neurodiverse and/or disabled childfree heroines.
I love the outdoors, animals, fudge, and being silly. My friends describe me as having golden retriever energy. Come get excited with me!

Ayesha | Social Media Manager
I’m Ayesha, and I manage the social media for Ramp it Up. As a deaf and disabled writer, artist, and facilitator, I’m passionate about creative access, and about making the arts a more inclusive space.
You can often find me writing poems or pottering about in the garden.
