Journalism training programme

The Ramp It Up Journalism Training Programme offers adults with long-term health conditions, disabilities and/or who are neurodiverse the chance to learn and practise journalism.

Delivered online and on demand, this flexible 12-week course allows you to explore different aspects of journalism in a friendly, safe and supportive environment.

A woman in a red top wearing glasses helps a trainee in a blue jumper with a training task on yellow coloured paper. Other trainees are conversing and working in the background.

You will be given the opportunity to discover your preferred medium, e.g. writing, vlogging and photography and will learn how to review and report on topics that interest you most.

By the end of the course you will be able to have a published piece of work on the Ramp It Up online magazine along with advice and guidance on ways to continue developing your skills in journalism.
